'Gynergy', Women's Coffee House

A coffee house for all women 16 years and over. We try to provide a safe and comfortable space for all women. Supervised children are also welcome. Coffee, tea and sometimes snacks are served. Open mic, reading, videos, information of interest to women, sometimes card or games nights. Women are encouraged to bring their talents or information on events, etc. Meetings are from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. every 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, downstairs in the Sub Pub.

Sea Cadets is a national program for young Canadians ages 12 to 18 who are interested in participating in a variety of challenging and rewarding activities. Cadets are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their communities. They learn valuable life and work skills like teamwork, leadership, and citizenship. Cadets also reap the personal benefits of increased self-confidence and physical fitness, learning how to take initiative, and how to make decisions. Cadets make valuable contributions to Canadian society on a daily basis in terms of environmental, citizenship and community activities.

Focus on learning and performing Highland Dances in the Scottish tradition for personal enjoyment or for competitive events. We also teach creative steps and dances including Irish, German, Jewish, etc. Open to all ages and sexes.

Open to all persons getting a pension from B.C. provincial government or any seniors can join for lunch at 12:00 noon on the first Wednesday of every month at the Heritage Inn. A support of members concerns and needs at monthly social meetings.

The B.C.H.P.A. is the Voice of B.C.'s Beekeeping Industry. Provides community with facilities and programs in recreation. These programs include kid's time, carpet bowling, golf, yoga, cross-country skiing, fitness, square dancing. Canadian International College - Recreation Facilities

Although the Canadian International College is a private institution, we encourage healthy community interaction during our evening and weekend gymnasium based programs. These programs include badminton, basketball, volleyball, open gym, weight training and racquetball and squash. All community guests must be at least 15 years of age or accompanied by an adult, and those under the age of 14 are not permitted in the weight room under any circumstance.
